How do I post an item on the app?+

Create an account, log in, tap Post Ad, fill in your item details, upload up to 2 clear photos, and submit the listing for review.

Do I need to provide my WhatsApp number before posting?+

Yes. You must provide your WhatsApp number during signup before you can list items on the app. You can update your WhatsApp number anytime in your My Profile section.

What is a buyer request?+

A buyer request lets you post what you need when you cannot find it in the listing feed. After approval, sellers can contact you directly on WhatsApp if they have a matching item.

How many images can I add to a buyer request?+

Buyer requests currently allow 1 reference image so the post stays quick to upload and easy to scan on mobile.

Why is my account or listing under review?+

We manually review users, listings, and buyer requests to keep the marketplace safer, reduce spam, and improve trust for local buyers and sellers.

Can visitors view listings without signing up?+

Yes. Anyone can browse listings and buyer requests, but they must sign in before unlocking WhatsApp contact from listing details.

How long does a listing stay live?+

Listings stay active for 3 months. We send a reminder email 3 days before expiry so the seller can repost if the item is still available.

How long does a buyer request stay live?+

Approved buyer requests also stay active for 3 months before they expire automatically.

What is the Student Marketplace category for?+

It is a dedicated category for students to buy and sell notes, calculators, hostel items, study tables, gadgets, and other student-use products.

Is there an in-app chat system?+

No. Biratnagar Resale uses WhatsApp as the contact flow for simplicity, faster replies, and lower platform complexity.

How do I stay safe while using this app?+

Meet in public places, inspect the product before payment, avoid suspicious advance-payment requests, and use the Safety Guidelines page for more help.
